Louis de Funès plays the character called "Blaireau", the poacher.

There is a classic comic scene of a fishing competition that takes place on the canal near Pouillenay, close to Semur en Auxois and Montbard on the Yonne side of the canal.

"Chocolate" With Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp, many scenes were filmed at Flavigny-sur-Ozerain and also Châteauneuf-en-Auxois.

Some of the scenes in "Cyrano de Bergerac," a classic of French theatre by Edmond Rostand, were filmed inside the Abbey of Fontenay.
